With easy freeway access, the Film Shoot Home in Altadena is connected by gate to the area’s largest Base Camp, St. Elizabeth Church, containing 120 parking spaces. Park your generators in Base Camp and pull your cables directly into the house. Having Base Camp, lunch and craft services just steps away translates into easy logistics, money saved, and shorter filming days for everyone.
The location of the home and base camp away from neighboring homes also means that local disruption is kept to a minimum. Neighbors and passersby often don’t even perceive that a shoot is underway.
The Film Shoot Home contains enormous rooms furnished in All-American style. It features a 24’ x 18’ kitchen flowing into a 10’ x 19’ hearth room, a 29’ x 19’ living room, four spacious bedrooms, a 18’ x 11’ master bath, and a 13’ x 11’ guest bath, an office and a study. Behind the house is a large pool/spa deck of travertine-type stone and newly furnished with teak seating areas and a dining table seating 16. The 3/4-acre property includes towering trees, rose gardens, a working chicken farm, and an on-site parking lot with space for six cars.
A second popular Base Camp, at Westminster Church, is across the street, with another 175 parking spaces available for crew parking.
